We run a "Furrow (birth) to Finish"operation. Our hogs live their entire life on the farm. Beginning from birth, they are allowed to root around their pasture freely and supplied a high protein feed from a local mill. We raise our pigs naturally, without the use of antibiotics or additives. While we do not use antibiotics, we will not allow our pigs to suffer from injury or illness and medicate as necessary. Those pigs, however, will be used for personal consumption.
We keep our breeding stock of heritage hogs on the farm. We run two sows, Anna(Large Black/Mulefoot) and Georgia (Old Spot), and a boar named Mac (Duroc, Old Spot mix). Heritage breeds are different from the large production breeds like the white commodity pigs. They are slower growing but have more flavor and fat marbling.
We are currently focusing on selling Pork Cuts as our business needs have changed. All our cuts are USDA inspected and kept in our deep freezers. Check out our product price sheet below.
